in a coffee shop

Just an iPhone photo taken in a coffee shop in Tel Aviv on Shabbat lunchtime. These three women friends were reading what I think were Tarot cards, but might have been some other sort of fortune telling card. They had a book and were checking what the cards meant and talking excitedly :)

I haven’t had much time to take pictures lately but I hope that this weekend I will and can do more abstract work which is what I want to concentrate on next.

    a favorite for sure.

    i love all the light in this.

    and also all the visual interest – the things on the table, the gestures and the feeling that something very interesting is happening for these women. and then the humor of a conversation perhaps revolving around the future combined with prominent photograph from the past.

    Wonderful candid scene. Love the expressions you captured..the movement and blurr. Always interesting to study ‘relationships’.

    thinking you might enjoy a new book by Chase Jarvis – sorry can’t remember the name of it – but if you google Chase Jarvis you should find his blog and this book. the whole book is photographs he made with his iphone.

    i like how they’re in front of the photo of people, and now they’ve become a photo of people. it tempts me to take a photo of my screen…
